The Swinging Woodpeckers refers to two separate, but associated bands (some of the musicians are in both bands):

• The Swinging Woodpeckers Big Band – a larger band equipped to play all of the Big Band repertoire plus many other pieces that can be arranged for the line-up [The current Line-up is Flute, Clarinet, Alto Sax(2), Tenor Sax(2), Baritone Sax, Trumpets(3), Trombone(3), Guitar, Piano, Double Bass, Drum Kit plus vocals]
• The Woodpeckers Nonet. A nine piece suitable for smaller venues with a very wide ranging repertoire [The current line-up is Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Guitar, Double Bass, Drums, Vocal]

In addition event organisers need to know that as a result of the high standard of musician within the group, we are able to field groups of almost any size to support your event.
